Homo-ners-R-Us
How does that old saying go… you can’t lose if you don’t try? No, that’s not the one. Oh yeah, it’s “you can’t score if you don’t shoot.” For the readers out there in blogland not privy to the sportsball, that’s a sweet B-Ball reference. Buckets, baby.
Enter my OG Portland homie, Amanda. Her perceived impossibility of being a HOMO-ner was just that, perceived. She spent years knowing the PNW is where she not only wanted to lay down some funky beats (contact for booking – kidding… not really), she also wanted to lay down some roots.
Make it a double.
There really should be a cuter word than DUPLEX. It’s sounds sterile. Not at all like the bangin’ little babe that my sister just bought. It’s a total peach and while it’s got a little fixing up to do, it’s nothing my dear TiTi can’t handle.
Started from the bottom, now we’re here!
Here’s the scene:
I’m in the 3rd grade. My dad is the coach of the Black Stallions softball team, of which I am obligated to be a part. We have never won a game. Not one.
Mama Mia!
I have the coolest mom. Yeah yeah, I know I’m biased and maybe your mom is also super cool, but it’s my blog so I get to say whatever I want.
Damascus, who knew?!?!
EXCUSE ME, NBD, JUST THE CUTEST AND SWEETEST FAM EVER. When these darling dolls came to me looking for a home to raise their family in, I was so excited to help them find the perfect fit. We totally lucked out on this contemporary charmer in Damascus. They are both police officers in Multnomah County, so finding a haven was very important for them to destress after a long day on the beat. So now they can relax by the Clackamas river, playing with the other kids in the neighborhood, and enjoying the gorgeous mountain views. Congrats Lindsey and Bryson! And to ‘my son’ Ryland. If only you truly were mine!
Gold & Grimm
I recently helped my neighbor in Milwaukie sell their charming ranch, and while I was sad to lose my rad neighbor, she bought one of the coolest homes in North Portland off Williams Street. We call it a “Gingerbread Victorian”, because well, just look at it! Cute as a story-tale cottage, but like the tale of Hansel & Gretel, it had a strange secret. Before the sellers put it on the market, it was host to the show Grimm and had undergone a very dramatic (and creepy) makeover. The entire interior of the home was painted top to bottom in gold. It was also covered in roots and branches to give it a nest-like appearance. Want to see the spookiness unfold? It’s featured on Season 1, episode 14, starting at minute 26 (currently available on Amazon Prime).
Super Sherwood to the Rescue!
A bun in the oven certainly does put a little added pressure to timing on the house hunting process.
2 Realtors & a Baby
Oh hello,
I’d like you to take a look at this here baby. I mean, have you ever? You haven’t even ever and you could never. But it just so happens that Tony and Aya have. They made that kid from scratch and thankfully for us, brought this angelic creature with them this winter when they decided to relocate to Portland from Chicago.
This time last year I had sold a gorgeous SW hills home to Tony’s parents, who wanted to be closer to previously mentioned darling grandchild once they arrived. Talk about family planning!
Sometimes we work with wicked cool clients and I think that my luck might run out, but then they refer us their super cool kids and the streak continues!
